Testimonials

“Since the installation of the IMET Grease Trap Module we have no grease build-up (solid cake) in our grease trap, the bad odors are practically non-existent, and clean-outs are easier and only needed for solids mistakenly entering the system.”

— Astor Pagan, RPA, FMA Director of Facilities, Trinity College, Hartford, CT, USA ; ABM Industries

”We are excited to have found this technology and we have been telling our neighbors that they should also install an IMET system in their septic systems.”

— George Jacynycz, Ohio, USA homeowner

Case Studies

IMET® aerobic biological technology installed in a coastal city wastewater treatment plant on Aegean Sea

Coastal town Karaburun, Turkey was struggling to keep up with seasonal tourism surges that overwhelmed its wastewater treatment plant. IMET modules drastically increased the WWTP’s capacity without expanding its footprint, restoring the town’s Blue Flag beach status while producing clean effluent used to irrigate nearby olive groves.

IMET® eliminates H2S odor complaints from grease interceptors and minimizes grease interceptor pumping requirement at world- class resort

A luxury Caribbean resort faced constant hydrogen sulfide odors and grease interceptors that required pumping twice a month. After installing IMET modules in each chamber, odor was reduced to negligible levels and grease accumulation dropped so dramatically that pumping was reduced to occasional surface skimming.

Failing septic tank remediation and residential septic leach field rejuvenation

A century-old home in Northeast Ohio faced a failing three-tank septic system and clogged leach field, with standing wastewater and strong odors. The county’s recommended fixes (a large sand mound or clearing a mature tree lot for a new leach field), would have dramatically altered the property.

Instead, IMET installed a single drop-in aerobic module in the second septic tank in under three hours. Within six months the septic system and leach field were fully restored, eliminating odors and pumping needs while achieving effluent quality below 10 mg/L BOD and 5 mg/L TSS.

Using IMET® technology to minimize odor and bio-solids buildup at an Ottawa County pump station

A pump station in Ottawa County experienced persistent hydrogen sulfide odors and a thick organic mat forming in the wet well, which interfered with level floats and required periodic cleanouts. The county was also using a significant amount of chemical dosing to control odors.

After installing 2-module IMET system in the pump station, odors were dramatically reduced and the organic mat disappeared without requiring further cleanouts. The county has since reduced chemical dosing and realized significant cost savings while maintaining improved operating conditions at the station.
